About the Role
Lead the delivery of commercial solar projects from pre‑construction to handover. Manage budgets, timelines, quality, safety, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful, profitable project completion.
Key Responsibilities

Full lifecycle management: planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close‑out.

Develop and control budgets, schedules, forecasts, risk registers, and change orders.

Coordinate client, engineering, contractual, and regulatory stakeholders.

Oversee site assessments, engineering reviews, QA/QC processes, and compliance.

Monitor project P&L, track invoices, costs, and profitability.

Administer contracts, permissions, interconnection approvals, and incentives.

Produce regular status reports, presentations, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Project Management, or similar.

5+ years managing commercial/industrial solar PV projects; utility‑scale a bonus.

Proficiency in MS Office, project software (Procore, Smartsheets, Wrike, etc.).

Deep understanding of PV tech, installation methods, permitting, and South African regulations.

Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Strong financial literacy: budgeting, forecasting, contract administration.

Solid grasp of HSE and risk management practices.
Desirable

PMP (or equivalent) certification.

Experience with PV modelling (e.g. PVsyst).

Familiarity with Eskom/SSEG, IPP frameworks, wheeling, or hybrid systems (solar + BESS)
